In mainland China and Hong Kong, Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay only, we offer Steel Fibre Reinforced Concrete (SFRC) for use within industrial flooring, concrete slabs and precast concrete products.
Through our knowledge and experience in fibre reinforcement, we offer clients the potential to improve the performance of concrete in many other applications.
For example, in some countries around the world, shotcreting slopes to stabilise slopes and surface run-off is a popular solution. Although, we would propose more environmentally friendly solutions first, we recognise that some clients prefer a harder armour layer of shotcrete. In these cases, adding Dramix® steel or micro-polymer fibres into the concrete mix can improve the performance of that final concrete solution.
Cast-insitu concrete can also benefit from the addition of fibres.
Customising the fibre types and blend within the concrete mix to suit the concrete end-product, brings many benefits. Dramix ® and micro-polymer fibres, increase the durability, ductility, shear, impact resistance and fire resistance of the ensuing concrete. Other benefits include:
– Reduced complex steel reinforcement detailing
– Improved freeze-thaw / thermal resistance
– Reduced early-age cracking
– Earlier removal of formwork
