Maccaferri plant in Albania achieves ISO14001 and 45001 certifications
Maccaferri's new plant in Albania, inaugurated in 2022, has just been awarded 14001 and 45001 certifications following an audit by the TUV Austria certification body.
ISO 14001 certification gives company management, staff and external stakeholders the assurance that environmental impact is being measured and improved.
ISO 45001 certification specifies the requirements for an occupational health and safety (OHS) management system, and provides guidelines for its use, to enable organisations to provide safe and healthy workplaces, by preventing work-related injuries and illnesses and proactively improving their OHS performance.
The new plant in Albania of Maccaferri (40 000 sm, 200 employees), located in the city of Shijak, allows the Group to access a better logistics system and a more efficient raw materials supply chain. The goal is to make the new plant the main production hub for Europe and Middle East as well as a center of excellence for the development of cutting-edge technologies in line with Industry 4.0 standards.
