Maccaferri Balkans Hosts Metropolitan University Civil Engineering Students

April 2026

On 16 April, Maccaferri Balkans welcomed third-year Civil Engineering Bachelor students from Metropolitan University for an educational visit to its offices, showroom, and production facilities. The visit was organized under the guidance of Prof. Asoc. Dr. Emre Cecen.

The visit began with a brief tour of the company’s offices, during which students were introduced to the organizational structure of Maccaferri Balkans and its multidisciplinary approach within an international group.

The group then moved to the showroom, where a series of presentations took place. The General Administrator of Maccaferri Balkans, Robert Masha, presented the company’s history, organizational structure, key achievements, and future strategic goals.

This was followed by technical presentations delivered by Maccaferri Balkans engineers Orges Llangozi and Xhejs Qerimaj, who explained the company’s products, their applications, and relevant case histories from real engineering projects.

After the presentations, the Technical Manager, Elvis Loli, guided the students through the showroom, showcasing the physical products and providing in-depth explanations of their technical characteristics and performance.

The visit concluded with a tour of the factory, offering students valuable insight into the operational processes and how each product is manufactured—from design and raw materials to final production.

This initiative reflects Maccaferri Balkans’ commitment to collaboration with academic institutions and to sharing practical knowledge with the engineers of the future. For the students, the visit was an opportunity to discover advanced engineering solutions, understand how a large international company operates, and gain exposure to technologies that are uniquely available in Albania through Maccaferri Balkans.
