In the section D1 Hričovské Podhradie – Lietavská Lúčka, before the bridge no. 205, was designed the reinforced soil structure made from concrete panels.
MacRes system has been developed for realization of soil reinforcement structures. The system is developed through linear reinforcement placed on the reinforcement soil in consequent layer, connected to a flexible concrete wall. Maximum height of this structure is 6m.
On the bottom of the wall was designed high tenacity geogrid ParaLink 400 to improve soil properties of the whole structure. ParaLink geogrids are unique planar structures consisting of a monoaxial array of composite geosynthetics strips. Each single longitudinal strip has a core of high tenacity polyester yarns tendons encased in a polyethylene sheath; the single strips are connected by non-resisting cross laid polyethylene strip that gives a grid like shape to the composite.
Structural design was made by our technical team. Realization of this wall was planned to start at the beginning of 2015. The construction was little bit postponed but in the summer some panels were already supplied to the job site. The plan is to produce and supply all the panels till the end of the year.
Contractor already started with construction of the first layer. At the beginning Maccaferri also provided technical training on the job site in order to show contractor how to properly install the system.
It is very important to finish this section of highway because another job section will follow. On the pictures you can see preparation of installation of 2 layer of concrete panels.
