Sailor of the Year 2024: Luca Rosetti winner of the 33rd Edition of the Most Prestigious Award in Italian Sailing!
We are proud to have supported skipper Luca Rosetti as an official sponsor in his incredible journey which led him to win the MiniTransat 2023, one of the most difficult challenges in world ocean sailing.
The Mini Transat is a solo Atlantic crossing of 4,000 miles (from Les Sables d’Olonne, in France, to St Francois Riviera du Levant, in Guadeloupe, with a stopover in the Canary Islands) on boats of only 6 and a half metres (Mini 6.50). After 26 days of overall sailing, Luca, on November 12nd 2023, after a sensational comeback, climbed onto the top step of the podium.
But that’s not all. Today, in fact, we are celebrating another impressive result: Luca was awarded, in the beautiful setting of Marina Cala Dè Medici in Tuscany, as Sailor of the Year 2024, an important prize awarded by the ”Giornale della Vela” since 1991. A recognition for Luca’s great undertaking, a great talent combined with tenacity, commitment and dedication, another step in the climb to success that projects him towards new challenges and new goals.
