Geo-Clay-Liners barriers are composites manufactured by coupling (normally by needle punching processes) a bentonite layer, with selected properties, between two geotextiles. This composite, when hydrated, can provide a very low permeability lining system, which can be used to build geological barrier and waterproofing systems. To improve its durability and to decrease its permeability for more demanding application, this composite can also be laminated with polymeric films or thin membranes.
