由于软土地基的固结，很多情况下需要限制路堤的垂直沉降，如： • 存在大面积的深厚软土层，同时不均匀沉降也是一个问题。 • 临近建筑已经使用桩基础（如桥台）。 • 上部路堤对基础沉降量控制很严格。 在这些情况下，路堤一般建筑在桩基础上。
