Francesco Paolo Lipartiti appointed Region Head – SEAP, Aryanto Wibowo takes the role of President & Managing Director of Maccaferri Philippines, and Varun Sikand joins as Director, Sales & Business Development for Region India
Officine Maccaferri announces the strengthening of its management team in the ISEAP region (India, Southeast Asia & Pacific), in support of a development strategy that integrates global vision with proximity to local markets. This initiative aims to enhance the company’s market development and penetration capabilities, as well as its technical and engineering footprint in strategic, high-growth-potential areas, by combining product expertise with a deep understanding of local market dynamics.
The new appointments form part of a broader organizational consolidation process in the key areas driving the Group’s growth, in line with its strategy to strengthen leadership in high-potential markets. The addition of professionals with solid managerial capabilities and significant business development experience will enhance coordination between technical and commercial functions, while reinforcing support for designers and contractors across the entire value chain, from the design phase through to project execution. By fostering the development of high value-added systems, the Group aims to further consolidate its positioning as a leading engineering platform, capable of addressing the challenges of climate change adaptation and advancing the industrialization of infrastructure construction sites – a strategic lever for the sector’s evolution.
Within this framework, Francesco Paolo Lipartiti has taken on the role of Region Head – South East Asia & Pacific (SEAP), reporting directly to Vikramjiet Roy, Head of the ISEAP Region. Having joined Officine Maccaferri in 2008, he has held roles of increasing responsibility, working across several international markets. Over the years, he has contributed to business development in complex, high-potential environments, building a deep understanding of regional dynamics and a strong execution capability on the ground.
In his new role, Lipartiti will be responsible for defining and implementing regional strategies across Southeast Asia and the Pacific, with the aim of supporting long-term growth and strengthening business resilience across the various markets in the area. His responsibilities include end-to-end coordination of regional operations, alignment of cross-functional teams, and expansion of market coverage, in line with the Group’s customer-centric proximity model. He will also continue to serve as Managing Director of Maccaferri Malaysia and Maccaferri Thailand, ensuring operational continuity and a strong presence in key markets.
“The strengthening of leadership in the SEAP region is a key step in supporting infrastructure development and economic growth in rapidly evolving markets,” said Vikramjiet Roy, Head of the ISEAP Region. “Francesco’s deep knowledge of the region and his international experience represent a critical asset in consolidating Maccaferri’s presence and enhancing its contribution across the countries in the area.”
As part of the further development of the Group’s presence in South East Asia, Aryanto Wibowo has been newly appointed President & Managing Director of Maccaferri Philippines, the Group’s commercial company responsible for go-to-market activities in the country, with the mandate to lead business development, customer coverage and the consolidation of the Group’s presence in the local market. Based in Manila and reporting to Francesco Paolo Lipartiti, Region Head – SEAP, Aryanto takes over from Thomas C. Wintermahr, who, in addition to retaining his role as Managing Director of Maccaferri Australasia, will continue to support the transition by ensuring industrial continuity, also serving as Interim President of Maccaferri Philippines Manufacturing, Inc. (MPMI).
“The Philippines represent a strategic market for our development in Southeast Asia,” commented Francesco Paolo Lipartiti, Region Head – SEAP. “Aryanto’s twenty years of experience, combined with the continuity provided by Thomas, will strengthen our ability to support customers and partners in a context of sustained growth.”
In order to further reinforce its presence in India, the Group has also appointed Varun Sikand as Director, Sales & Business Development – Region India, with responsibility for the country’s entire go-to-market. With over two decades of international experience across the United States, Australia and India, Varun will lead the integration of the Sales, Business Development, Technical and Marketing functions, with the objective of enhancing commercial effectiveness and customer proximity.
“These appointments in the ISEAP region reflect Officine Maccaferri’s commitment to continuing to invest in skills and leadership to support the growth of infrastructure and local economies in high-potential markets,” said Stefano Susani, Chief Executive Officer of Officine Maccaferri. “The ISEAP region is central to our global development strategy: Francesco, Aryanto and Varun embody our vision of responsible growth, based on customer proximity, local expertise, international experience and sustainable infrastructure solutions.”
