Problem
A large soil embankment on the side of a busy road started to deteriorate causing debris to fall thus causing potential danger for motorists and citizens using the route.
Solution
Due to the danger, the embankment could cause, the slope needed protection from erosion. MacMat® R was chosen as the best solution for this problem.
The green-coloured 3D matrix is aesthetically pleasing matching the natural colour of its surroundings. MacMat® R provides immediate erosion protection from rainfall runoff, encourages re-growth on the soil slope and it provides strong root reinforcement.
In the photos, you can see that the net nicely diffuses into the soil creating a smooth form. This is a great example to show Maccaferri’s strong commitment to combining cost-effective, timely and landscape-friendly solutions.
