Protecting Thailand’s Coastlines – Mangrove Reforestation

At Laem Chabang Mangrove Community, Sriracha, Chonburi, Thailand’s coastlines are facing increasing environmental challenges, including coastal erosion, pollution, and the loss of critical marine habitats. These issues not only threaten the environment but also impact the livelihoods of local communities.

At Maccaferri, we believe that small actions lead to big changes. That’s why we are committed to protecting and restoring coastal ecosystems. Mangroves are nature’s coastal defenders, helping to prevent shoreline erosion, improve water quality, and provide vital habitats for marine life. They also play a crucial role in reducing carbon emissions and combating climate change.

In collaboration with the Laem Chabang Mangrove Community, we planted 50 mangrove trees, strengthening Thailand’s coastal resilience while supporting local livelihoods through ecotourism and fisheries.
