Coastal & River Control Works

Since ancient times, people have inhabited near rivers banks and coasts. As a result of anthropological activities and environmental changes, the balance between coastal and river dynamic action is struggling, leading to severe consequences such as coastal degradation and flooding. These phenomena become a threat when society does not adapt to the natural environment and the risks that come from it.

In 1879, Maccaferri carried out the first hydraulic application rebuilding the banks of river Reno after a tremendous flood. Since then, we have strengthened our knowledge and expertise in solving engineering problems within hydraulic works and the protection of coasts. Today, we offer our clients the skill and manufacturing technology to create bespoke solutions for projects, always pursuing the most efficient and respectful coexistence between humans and nature.
