Polymeric Geomembranes
Plastomeric geomembranes belong to the family of the synthetic geomembranes and are supplied in large sheets (5-8m) with a thickness ranging from 0.5 to 3 mm. Although their manufacturing process can be different, all the features grant very small permeability coefficient and are suitable for lining and waterproofing applications. Although different polymers can be used, polyethylene is the most common due to its chemical resistance, durability, and low cost. Among the various types of polyethylene, the high density variety is most prevalent.
