We assessed several erosion control options with a focus on constructability, durability, and compatibility with hydroseeding and revegetation. The key drivers were ensuring immediate surface protection, maintaining soil retention, and achieving a low-maintenance long-term outcome.

MacMat R was selected due to its strong erosion control performance, reinforcement capability, and ability to support vegetation establishment. The product provided an ideal balance between short-term protection and long-term integration into the slope once vegetated.

Installation was straightforward and efficient. The rolls were placed downslope, anchored securely, and overlapped to ensure continuous coverage. The material conformed well to the ground profile, allowing good contact with the soil surface and providing a stable base for hydroseeding.
