Terramesh wall at Taman Sri Sendayan Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia 

Bandar Sri Sendayan is a township in the Rantau ward of Seremban, Negeri Sembilan. Located within the borders of the Rantau state constituency, Bandar Sri Sendayan is a 20-minute drive from downtown Seremban via highway and it is a relatively large town park measuring at 26-acre of land. Bandar Enstek however is a new township in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan and it is located near the KLIA (Kuala Lumpur International Airport) Quarters and FELDA LB Johnson. 

Recently, an upgrade work took place at the main road which connects these 2 beautiful towns and Maccaferri’s retaining wall expertise was required.  The method which Maccaferri believed most suitable after countless studies was the Terramesh Wall System. The wall is estimated a total length of 300 Metres at the height of 6 – 8 Metres which includes Maccaferri’s several other solutions such as geotextiles and etc. During the construction of the Wall, there were countless challenges faced by our team such as difficulty in excavating the base of the Terramesh wall as the soil properties at the area consist of big rocks. This was giving a hard time to the contractors as it was taking too much time frame and the local authority was also concern on the initial length of the Geogrid reinforcement which was designed by them. Hence, during the mid of construction Maccaferri came up with a better design and solution in which it not only reduces the cost but the time frame as well. The local authorities was very grateful indeed with the prompt response of our team at being able to come out with a different design in a short period of time and being able to give them what they have in mind. They were also very satisfied with our work and focus towards providing solutions in overcoming the following matter. In total, Maccaferri has supplied a total of 3.0 Mil worth of products to the following site.
