Problem
The VIP entrance to the stadium was initially constructed with rubble pitching on both sides of the ‘box culvert’. However, problems instigated by ground water and heavy rain have caused the rigid rubble pitching to give way in two occasions. Realising that a better retaining wall system was needed, Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR) Selangor sought for a more environmental, flexible and permeable solution.
Solution
Maccaferri Green Terramesh System was found to be the most economical solution whilst meeting all other requirements. These pictures fully illustrates the outcome and benefits of Green Terramesh System.
