IAHR 2025: Advancing Sustainable Water Solutions on the Global Stage

Singapore

We’ve participated in the 41st International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR) World Congress, held at the Singapore EXPO from 22 to 27 June 2025. This year’s theme, “Innovative Water Engineering for Sustainable Development,” provided an inspiring platform to engage with global experts and exchange ideas at the forefront of hydro-environment research and technology.

IAHR2025 brought together thousands of engineers, researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders from across the globe to explore the complex challenges at the nexus of water, climate, energy, and food. Through keynote lectures, technical sessions, and interactive forums, the Congress emphasised the urgent need for resilient and integrated solutions in a rapidly changing climate.

Key Highlights for Our Team:

  • We explored and gained valuable insights on the latest advances in hydraulic modelling, nature-based solutions, and sustainable urban drainage systems.

Co-located with SIWW Spotlight 2025, the event also offered a deeper look into how cities can strengthen resilience to floods and extreme weather. This pairing of international platforms highlighted Singapore’s role as a hub for water innovation and policy leadership.

IAHR2025 has not only deepened our understanding of current global water challenges but also inspired us to bring innovative thinking back to our projects. As we continue our commitment to sustainable water solutions, we’re excited to build on the ideas and connections made during this impactful week.
