Maccaferri recently participated in the Seminar on Design & Construction Challenges in Soft Soils, organised by the Geotechnical Engineering Technical Division (GETD), IEM, and held on 3 February 2026 at Armada Hotel, Petaling Jaya.

The one-day seminar was attended by approximately 170 industry professionals, providing a valuable platform for knowledge sharing and technical exchange on key geotechnical challenges, including soil investigation and interpretation, embankment design on soft ground, pile foundation practices, and deep excavation works in soft soils.

During the event, Maccaferri showcased our geosynthetic and soil stabilisation solutions, sharing insights on how innovative ground engineering technologies can support safer, more efficient, and sustainable infrastructure development in challenging soil conditions.

The seminar featured engaging presentations and discussions led by respected industry experts, followed by an interactive forum that encouraged meaningful dialogue among engineers and practitioners. The sessions fostered productive exchanges of real project experiences and best practices, contributing to the professional development of attendees involved in geotechnical and infrastructure projects.
