Maccaferri Balkans Hosts Open Lecture at Polytechnic University of Tirana

May 2025 – Tirana, Albania

On May 5, 2025, Maccaferri Balkans held an open lecture at the Polytechnic University of Tirana with the participation of a team of engineers and the company’s Administrator, Mr. Robert Masha. The purpose of this event was to present the company’s structure, key production indicators (KPIs), the range of materials manufactured locally, and highlight major projects carried out by Maccaferri Balkans and the global Maccaferri Group.

The session was attended by students from Economic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Materials Engineering programs, along with several university professors.

The lecture began with a presentation by Mr. Robert Masha, who offered an overview of the company’s journey, the challenges overcome throughout the years, the current organizational structure, and the certifications that support Maccaferri’s commitment to quality.

Next, Mr. Kristjan Firusha, Production Manager of the local plant, introduced participants to the production process and shared key performance indicators that ensure quality and efficiency in operations.

In the third part, Mr. Elvis Loli, Commercial Manager, showcased some of the most significant projects completed across the Balkans using materials produced in Albania, along with an overview of the factory’s product portfolio.

To close the lecture, Mr. Orges Llangozi from the Technical Department presented some of the most important international projects completed by the Maccaferri Group, illustrating the various application sectors and materials through photos and technical explanations.

The session concluded with an engaging Q&A, where students had the opportunity to ask questions related to their fields of study and interact directly with the company’s representatives.

This open lecture proved to be a highly valuable experience for both the students and the company, and Maccaferri Balkans looks forward to continuing such collaborations in the future to support education and the development of future engineers.
