Sabiha Gokcen Airport access roads MacRes retaining project

Context

The second runway of the Istanbul’s 2nd biggest airport is planned to be constructed to meet the excessive demands from the passengers flying in and out from the city. With the construction of the second runway, high slopes and massive soil volumes were needed to be restrained.

Due to that, an aesthetic MSEW with Maccaferri’s Macres system was proposed and approved by the Customer.

Maccaferri’s leading turn-key product Macres wall system was applied and succesfully implemented in site. During the project Paraweb polymer stripes were used.
