Architects, engineers and other construction professionals will have the opportunity to participate in the 1st International Congress of Engineering – Nicaragua 2017. The event will be jointly promoted by the American University (UAM) and the Association of Engineers and Architects (ANIA). The main objective of the Congress will be to foster the exchange of experiences between local and foreign experts, government representatives, sectoral bodies and the university, and to mark the official launch of the Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering at UAM.
The central theme of the congress is “Innovations in Engineering and Architecture to Build the Nicaragua of the Future”, which has been divided into four topics: current state of engineering and challenges for Nicaragua; introduction to the BIM (Building Information Model) system; innovations to construct earthquake-resistant buildings; project criteria in the context of natural hazards and climate change.
Sinter S.A. ‒ Maccaferri’s distributor for Nicaragua ‒ will exhibit our mitigation and remediation solutions for erosion control, rockfall protection, retaining structures and slope reinforcement. In addition to promoting the excellence of our portfolio, it is also an opportunity to show how we work in partnership with our clients, offering technical expertise to deliver versatile, cost-effective and environmentally sound solutions. Each project comes as a result of the collaboration between the company headquarters in Italy, the regional units and the clients.
