The Seminar on Mountain Roads will be held in San José, capital of Costa Rica, on September 4th and 5th, 2017. Organized by the Costa Rican Geotechnical Association (ACG), the seminar will cover three thematic areas, where Maccaferri can provide considerable expertise and experience in large projects worldwide.
The three themes covered by the congress are:
- Design and Construction of Stabilization Works;
- Geological – Geotechnical Aspects;
- Risk Management and Administration.
These will be discussed during a rich program of lectures featuring international speakers, including Daniel Salcedo from Venezuela, Mikihiro Mori from Japan, Marco Mancina from Italy, Rob Kenyon from Canada and Victor Medrano from Mexico
The program will also include lectures by renowned Costa Rican engineers including Sergio Mora, Gastón Laporte and Sergio Sáenz.
The seminar will close with a roundtable discussion.
Simultaneously with this lecture marathon, an exhibition area will gather leading industry players. We will be there at booths 4 and 5 to showcase our rockfall and retaining wall solutions to enable the construction of safe and cost-effective mountain roads.
