The architectural challenge was to integrate the retaining and boundary walls into a single system, initially conceived in gabions.

The retaining walls were designed using a gravity gabion retaining system. The architectural boundary walls were defined with a maximum thickness of 50 cm. To stabilise the architectural walls with gabions, it was necessary to use an internal metal structure that guarantees their stability, while the hexagonal mesh gabions enclose the filling material and provide the finish idealised by the architect. In all, the architectural walls will have a face area of more than 500,00 m².
