Сдерживание оползней и селевых потоков
Противоселевые барьеры Маккаферри предназначены для сдерживания потоков из смеси грунта с водой (селей) или мелких оползней на склонах, в руслах рек и ложбинах. Противоселевые барьеры разрабатываются исходя из масштабов проекта, ожидаемого материала и объема селевого потока. Под воздействием потока противоселевой барьер постепенно деформируется, а компрессионные тормозные системы поглощают энергию селя. Как только селевой поток останавливается, гидростатическое давление в нем быстро гасится, а обломочный материал остается внутри барьера.
Противоселевые барьеры Маккаферри отличаются прочностью и хорошо вписываются в ландшафт в отличие от других противоселевых систем.
