King County White River Flood Barriers
Challenge
During the December 2025 flood event in Pacific, King County, Washington, an existing flood barrier was breached, creating an immediate risk to private property and public safety. The failure occurred during an active emergency, with residents evacuating their homes and the city as floodwaters threatened the surrounding community.
The project required a rapid, reliable repair solution that could be deployed under emergency conditions while restoring the integrity of the existing flood protection system. The repair also needed to support long-term flood resilience without compromising compatibility with the existing flood control infrastructure.
Solution
EBS Mac FE was deployed as part of a comprehensive emergency breach repair and short-to-long-term flood protection system. The system was installed to rapidly restore continuous flood protection across the damaged section while integrating with the existing flood barrier and meeting emergency deployment requirements.
In addition to providing an immediate response to the active flood event, EBS Mac FE was selected to minimize future maintenance requirements and deliver a durable repair that remains compatible with the existing flood control infrastructure.
