Officine Maccaferri S.p.A. is committed to ensuring the accessibility of its website www.maccaferri.com, in accordance with Legislative Decree No. 82 of 27 May 2022, implementing European Directive 2019/882.

Officine Maccaferri S.p.A. believes it is a collective moral duty to allow everyone to access information, products and services without encountering obstacles or barriers, so that every person can live with dignity, equality and independence. For this reason, resources have been invested to make the website easier to use and more accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities.

In compliance with Legislative Decree 82/2022, the following information is provided below:

1. Accessibility requirements and applicable criteria

The requirements for digital accessibility are set out in Legislative Decree No. 82 of 27 May 2022, “Implementation of Directive (EU) 2019/882 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 17 April 2019 on the accessibility requirements for products and services”, which, for technical aspects, refers to the UNI EN 301549 standard.

Specifically, the website's compliance must be assessed against the criteria set out in Chapters 9 “Web” and 10 “Non-web content”, which reference the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at levels A and AA.

The four fundamental principles of digital accessibility, as set out in WCAG 2.1, are:

• Perceivable - Content is presented clearly and understandably.
• Operable - The interface can be easily navigated by all users.
• Understandable - Information and actions are intuitive and easy to interpret.

Areas excluded from the scope of application

Article 1, paragraph 5, of Legislative Decree No. 82/2022 states that the provisions of the decree do not apply to the following website content and mobile applications:

2. General description of the service

This website is aimed at end consumers and provides commercial information about Maccaferri, a company specialising in engineering solutions for the civil construction, geotechnical and environmental markets. The website allows users to learn about the Group, browse products, solutions and application sectors, access case histories, technical documentation, brochures and in-depth content, locate international offices, and contact company experts.

3. How the service works

The website can be accessed from desktop, tablet and smartphone devices using the main web browsers currently on the market, and is available in several language versions. Navigation is via a main menu that allows users to access the main sections.

Users can make use of the website's features as described below:

• View company information: users can learn more about the company by accessing the dedicated sections, which cover the Group's history, international presence, values, engineering approach, innovation, and the company's role in developing solutions for resilient infrastructure and climate adaptation.
• View business sectors: users can access the dedicated section to learn about the main areas in which Maccaferri operates, including energy and natural resources infrastructure, industrial applications, safety and climate resilience, smart infrastructure, transport, urban infrastructure, and water and environment. For each sector, users can open the relevant page and view in-depth content.
• View design applications: users can access the dedicated section to identify the areas of application for Maccaferri's solutions.
• View engineering solutions and systems: users can access the dedicated section to view the solutions the company offers for different design needs. The dedicated pages include technical descriptions, areas of use, application benefits, and links to related products, case studies or documentation.
• View products: users can access the dedicated section to view the Maccaferri product catalogue. For each available product, users can open a dedicated page with descriptions, technical specifications, applications, images, informational materials and, where available, downloadable technical documents.
• View case histories and success stories: users can access the dedicated section to learn about projects carried out by Maccaferri in various countries and application contexts. Each case study has a dedicated page providing information on the project, the needs addressed, the solutions adopted and the results achieved.
• Interact with the AI chat: users can request certain information and receive answers via a chat with a virtual assistant available on the homepage.

4. Compliance with accessibility requirements

This website is partially compliant with the requirements set out in Annex A of the UNI CEI EN 301549 standard, due to the following non-conformities:

• some web pages do not comply with the requirements of Chapter 9 “Web” of the UNI CEI EN 301549 standard;
• PDF files that can be downloaded from the website do not comply with the requirements of Chapter 10 “Non-web documents”.

In particular:

• video elements do not have captions or subtitles;
• some content does not follow a logical heading hierarchy;
• some functional or structural relationships between elements are conveyed only through CSS or physical position, and are not programmatically associated;
• some link text does not meet the minimum required colour contrast;
• some elements do not have adequate colour contrast;
• some content cannot be operated using a keyboard;
• some elements lack controls for managing content, which may interfere with screen readers or confuse users;
• some pages do not allow users to quickly skip repetitive content, such as the navigation menu, to reach the main section directly;
• some documents do not have an informative title;
• in some sections, the order in which information is read via keyboard is not consistent with the meaning of the content;
• some links do not have an understandable label and cannot be reached when navigating by keyboard;
• some links do not clearly and correctly communicate their purpose;
• in some sections, content does not provide a visible indication of keyboard focus, which can make it difficult to know one's position when navigating without a mouse;
• some pages do not correctly indicate the language used, making it more difficult for assistive technologies to read them;

5. Accessibility monitoring process

Officine Maccaferri S.p.A. is paying particular attention to the service delivery process to ensure it meets the requirements set out by digital accessibility regulations, with the support of external consultants for the following activities:

• technical verification of the website's accessibility through a gap analysis;
• user testing of the main user flows, including with the use of assistive technologies;
• analysis of third-party technologies, plug-ins and services implemented on the website;
• reporting of the gaps and non-conformities identified through technical verification and testing;
• validation of the corrections made to non-conformities;
• drafting of publicly available accessibility documentation;
• definition of internal policies and procedures for handling user assistance requests.

Officine Maccaferri S.p.A. also intends to consider carrying out periodic technical audits to monitor the website's accessibility over time, potentially with the involvement of third parties specialising in digital accessibility, in order to make further improvements, including those arising from user suggestions.

In such cases, technical audits will be carried out by an external consultant specialising in accessibility, using technology tools that are kept up to date with current regulations, to re-assess the compliance status through various methods: semi-automated code checks, manual user testing, and the use of assistive technologies.
