Officine Maccaferri signs a strategic partnership with Tubosider for international markets
Thanks to the agreement, the Group will distribute Tubosider solutions in the field of road safety barriers and culverts across international markets, strengthening its offering in the road infrastructure sector
Officine Maccaferri announces that it has signed a distribution agreement with Tubosider, an Italian company part of the Gavio Group and active worldwide in the roadworks field.
Thanks to the new partnership, Officine Maccaferri will be able to distribute Tubosider solutions on the global market outside Italy, expanding and strengthening its infrastructure offering with high-performance products that are perfectly complementary to its engineering technologies.
Founded in 1965, Tubosider is an Italian company part of the Gavio Group, one of the world’s largest motorway operators. Specializing in safety and civil infrastructure solutions, the company operates a production facility in Italy and markets its products in over 110 countries. Its portfolio includes two main product lines: metal road safety barriers and corrugated steel culverts. The barriers, certified in accordance with the European EN1317 standard and validated by more than 500 crash tests, are designed to ensure maximum performance in terms of vehicle containment and redirection. Corrugated steel culverts, on the other hand, offer a versatile and sustainable solution for underpasses, overpasses, hydraulic crossings and artificial tunnels, guaranteeing durability, speed of installation and cost reductions compared to concrete alternatives.
Through the agreement, Maccaferri, as a global multi-business platform, aims to develop an increasingly comprehensive and integrated portfolio capable of meeting the growing demands for safety, efficiency, and sustainability that characterize international infrastructure projects. The partnership also paves the way for potential production synergies, leveraging the industrial complementarity between the two companies, and fits within a broader framework of collaboration with other leading industry players, aimed at providing sustainable engineering solutions distinguished by a high level of technological innovation and a lower Total Cost of Ownership compared to traditional solutions.
Stefano Susani, CEO of Maccaferri, stated: “With Tubosider, we are enriching our road infrastructure offering with cutting-edge and integrated solutions that combine safety and sustainability. Thanks to the complementarity of our expertise and technologies, we are bringing to the market reliable and efficient projects that generate a positive impact for the communities and territories in which we work. This agreement is part of a growth strategy focused on the Group’s further global strengthening, consolidating our leadership and expanding development opportunities in global markets.”
Antoine Gagliardi, Head of the Double Twist BU and Chief Innovation & IoT at Maccaferri, commented: “In a context where mobility and environmental protection projects must meet increasingly high standards, the collaboration with Tubosider represents a strategic step to reinforce our portfolio with solutions of high technological content. As engineers of climate change adaptation, our goal is to develop technologies capable of providing tangible and sustainable answers to today’s and tomorrow’s infrastructure and environmental challenges.”
Giovanni Francia, CEO of Tubosider, added: “This partnership allows us to make a decisive leap towards the internationalization of our solutions. We are excited to rely on a global platform such as Maccaferri, which combines a solid reputation in infrastructure with a highly advanced technical and engineering approach. Thanks to this collaboration, our decades-long expertise in safety barriers and corrugated steel culverts can be systemically combined with Maccaferri’s know-how and technologies, creating an integrated, solid and credible offering.”
