Challenge

No vale baixo do rio Vinces até a confluência com o rio Babahoyo, existe um grande desequilíbrio hídrico com enormes problemas de inundação na época de chuvas e seca na estiagem, o que dificulta maximizar a produção nesta região. O Governo Nacional, através da SENAGUA – Secretaria Nacional del Água del Ecuador, empreende um projeto para transposição de água entre as cidades de Vinces até Babahoyo.

Solution

O projeto consiste na regularização e revestimento das margens do rio Daule com geomembranas, sistema de drenagem sub-superficial para rebaixamento do lençol freático com MacDrain® 2L, além de revestimento dos taludes das áreas periféricas com geomanta MacMat® para favorecer o crescimento da vegetação.
