Challenge

En Isla Colón, provincia de Bocas del Toro, se identificó la necesidad de estabilizar un talud crítico para construir un tanque de agua de 250,000 galones, destinado a mejorar el suministro a la comunidad local. El talud, ubicado junto a una carretera en rehabilitación, requiere estabilización para garantizar la seguridad vial y prevenir deslizamientos que podrían impactar el entorno.

Solution

Para estabilizar el talud que soportará la carga del tanque de almacenamiento de agua potable, se recomendó construir un muro de contención a gravedad con gaviones, de 4 metros de altura y 80 metros de longitud. Esta solución previene deslizamientos y protege la vía de acceso entre Isla Colón y Boca del Drago, garantizando la seguridad y funcionalidad de la infraestructura.
