SLOPE REINSTATEMENT WORKS AT TAMAN MELAWATI, KUALA LUMPUR

A shallow slip failure was noticed behind a bungalow in Taman Melawati, Kuala Lumpur by the owner. Known for the complementary services in providing technical support for Maccaferri products, the owner invited Maccaferri to submit a proposal to reinstate the slope.

Maccaferri proposed a 2-berms 8.4m high 70° Green Terramesh Mechanically Stabilised Earth (MSE) slope, as the owner prefers an environmental friendly facing as compared to other rigid surface systems. The height was brought up to 8.4m so as to provide an additional 4m length to the backyard; a value added investment for the home owner. Furthermore, the Green Terramesh System fulfilled all requirements predefined by the owner, technically, aesthetically and economically. The contractor completed the reinstatement works within one (1) month and the owner was generally satisfied with the progress and outcome of the Maccaferri Green Terramesh MSE slope.
