In September 2025, Maccaferri Africa, in collaboration with its local Ghanaian distributor JB Forge Limited, proudly participated in the Ghana Geotechnical and Geosynthetics Conference (3G Conference 2025). Hosted by the Ghana Geotechnical Society and the Ghana Chapter of the International Geosynthetics Society (IGS), the event marked a significant milestone in advancing geotechnical and geosynthetics engineering across Ghana and the broader West African region.<\/p>\n\n

Held under the theme \u201cThe Critical Role of Geotechnical Engineering in the Nexus Between Green Engineering and Public Safety,\u201d the conference brought together a diverse group of stakeholders\u2014including researchers, academics, manufacturers, contractors, and consultants\u2014to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange. The event aimed to strengthen the capacity of local practitioners and promote the ideals of the IGS, especially in light of the region\u2019s rapid economic growth and increasing infrastructure demands.<\/p>\n\n

As Ghana and its neighboring countries continue to develop essential infrastructure\u2014ranging from high-rise buildings and multi-level interchanges to underground reservoirs, tailings dams, and rural road networks\u2014there is a growing need for sustainable, safe, and innovative engineering solutions. Maccaferri\u2019s presence at the conference underscored its commitment to supporting this development through cutting-edge geotechnical and geosynthetic technologies.<\/p>\n\n

Representing Maccaferri Africa and JB Forge Limited at the expo stand were Maccaferri’s – Justin November, Head of Sales for West Africa, and Nancy Korkor Carboo, Commercial Sales for JB Forge. Together, they engaged with attendees, showcased Maccaferri\u2019s solutions for civil and mining infrastructure, and highlighted the importance of geosynthetics in modern engineering applications. Exhibiting alongside other industry leaders, Maccaferri reinforced its role as a trusted partner in shaping the future of infrastructure in West Africa.<\/p>\n\n
