    During a two year rockfall mitigation project on Hwy 14\/16\/20 west of Cody Wyoming, the DOT encountered a questionable face of rock that could not be safely removed. The logical mitigation was to protect the highway with a 20′ high dynamic rockfall barrier with a 2,000 kJ capacity.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

    Maccaferri has a tested 5 meter high, 2,000 kJ barrier. The ROC 200\/A ringnet barrier fit the bill. Rock Solid Solutions out of Colorado was awarded the project and quickly assembled the barrier before winter set in.<\/p>\n

    The barrier was impacted by over 1,100 cubic yards of rock when a section of the road cut gave way on Memorial Day 2019. The barrier was leveled, but kept materials out of the lanes of traffic. <\/p>\n
