Maccaferri Inc. exhibits and presents at the premier educational event for the erosion, sediment control and stormwater industry
The IECA 2017 Environmental Connection is a regular visit for Maccaferri. At this year’s event, taking place on February 21-24 at the Cobb Galleria Centre, Atlanta, GA, we will present a paper titled “Practical Applications with Geosynthetic Mats Reinforced with Steel Wire Meshes to Prevent Embankment Damage by Burrowing Large Rodents and Beavers”.
For Maccaferri, the proteceventscribe.com/2017/enviroconnecttion of the environment has been a corporate goal since we first offered hydraulic works solutions and erosion control solutions over 100 years ago. This application area involves protecting vulnerable soils, reducing erosion through stabilization. These soil surfaces are not exposed to the constant hydraulic forces of rivers and channels, but the occasional wetting and drying erosion forces from wind, rain and gravity. If allowed to continue, loss of vegetation, habitat and land will occur.
Environmental Connection is IECA’s Annual Conference and the premier educational event for the erosion, sediment control and stormwater industry. Environmental Connection combines intense, full and half day training courses with topic-focused technical sessions, networking events and the largest expo of its kind. IECA is gearing up for its largest conference yet with an expected 2,000 industry professionals representing over 25 different countries.
The Opening Keynote Speaker for IECA’s Annual Conference Environmental Connection 2017 is Jim Cantore, world renowned meteorologist with the Weather Channel. Cantore will discuss changes in weather patterns, predictions for the future and how these changes will affect the industry.
In the exhibit hall, delegates can learn about the latest products and technological advancements in Erosion Control and Stormwater industry. The exhibit hall includes over 150 companies, both domestic and international.
