Maccaferri Inc. will be exhibiting at the 47th Annual Southeastern Transportation Geotechnical Engineering Conference (STGEC) in Biloxi, Mississippi. The conference will be held at the Beau Rivage Resort in Mississippi, November 7 through 10, 2016.
The STGEC conference explores the challenges and advances in Geotechnical, Geological, Geophysical, and Geoenvironmental Engineering. This is an ever-evolving area of work with an increasing complexity and rate of change. This conference brings together designers, practitioners, and research professionals involved in current geotechnical problems and technologies. Practitioners, suppliers, manufacturers, contractors, regulators, and managers from both the private and public sectors will also be in attendance.
Along with the presentation of papers by suppliers and manufacturers, contributions from the state Departments of Transportation are usually provided. A technical presentation such as a case study, instrumentation and monitoring, data collection and/or reporting, technical procedure, ground improvement technology, or related construction practice have been among the presentations in previous years.
The field trip for this year is a boat trip out to Ship Island and Fort Massachusetts where the National Park Service will present the geotechnical issues such as wind deposited sand loads, beach erosion, water intrusion and remediation of the Ship Island breach, as well as the historical aspects of the Fort.
Maccaferri can be located at booth #3 in the Camellia Ballroom. Stop by and meet our representatives.
