As the site is alongside the coast and is set into steep hills, the earth under the caravans had started to move so remedial ground stabilisation works were needed immediately.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>Maccaferri were called in by PPD Associated Ltd\u202fto assess the situation and our\u202fGabion\u202fretaining wall system was chosen for the job. Maccaferri designed the retaining wall structure and supplied the materials.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n<p>The Gabions are made from a double twisted steel wire mesh, the mesh is coated with our\u202fPoliMac\u202fcoating. PoliMac is a new coating Maccaferri have advanced over the years, it is a more resistant polymer coating which withstands the test of time including over 120 year design life.
