The North Bexhill Access Road project has been shortlisted for the ICE Awards 2017 which has caused great excitement for the Maccaferri team. The NBAR project at Bexhill on sea has been shortlisted specifically for the ICE South East England Engineering Excellence Awards 2017.
The North Bexhill Access Road project is a 2.4 km single carriageway road designed to accommodate future employment land to the North of Bexhill. The aim of the client (SeaChange Sussex) is to stimulate business and housing growth by constructing infrastructure for developers to utilise when building their projects.
During the whole process from design to construction, the main contractor Breheny Civil Engineering, Maccaferri and the principal designer Campbell Reith have been proactively working closely together to ensure that any design and construction challenges are overcome. The use of ParaDrain® and ParaLink® for the road embankment provide an innovative design system and new method of construction.
The ceremony at which the winners will be announced will take place on Thursday, July 27th 2017 in Brighton.
