Since the bottom section will be pemanently located under water, the berm type and supporting geosythetic materials are crucial for the successfull, long-term stabilization of the system.<br>Therefore, a Terramesh system has been designed. In the foresight of possible instabilities and settlements of the ground, the system needs to perform on a high level.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/><div class=\"wp-block-mac-container-block box-container\"><div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\"><div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\"><p>For the Terramesh system of the Kozcagiz Dam project, planary reinforcement materials with a high tensile strength in one direction and composite geosynthetic stripes are being utilized. Regarding the settlement problems, a piling platform was constructed as base of the berm in order to<br>stabilize the system.<br>Terramesh System berms are being utilized with Doubletwisted Wire Mesh which provides a long-term service life and is filled with hard rocks and supported by geosynthetic reinforcements.
