    The creekside area of Malaking Ilog in San Jose, Batangas, faced critical structural challenges due to erosion and water-induced damage. The existing concrete structure near the creek had developed significant cracks, rendering it unsafe and unsustainable. Prolonged exposure to water flow and the inherent instability of the area made it evident that a robust, long-term solution was essential.<\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    Addressing these challenges required an innovative approach that could provide stability, withstand seismic forces, and ensure environmental compatibility. Maccaferri\u2019s Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE) Wall offered the perfect solution. By combining advanced geotechnical materials like the Terramesh\u00ae System and MacGrid WG 8, the project successfully mitigated the risks of erosion and structural failure while adhering to the highest safety and sustainability standards.<\/p>\n

    The Challenge: Addressing Creekside Erosion and Structural Instability<\/strong><\/h4>\n

     <\/p>\n

    The bottom section of the project site lay adjacent to a creek, exposing the existing concrete structure to constant water impact. Over time, this proximity caused severe cracks and erosion, compromising its stability. Replacing the structure was essential, but the solution needed to address key challenges:<\/p>\n
