COVID-19 vaccine donation that will bring hope to Filipinos during this challenging time. A major step towards recovery.
Maccaferri Philippines has been admitted to be one of the “A Dose of Hope” program sponsors to donate 1,000 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine to priority sectors.
“A Dose of Hope” is a program by Go Negosyo, a non-profit organization by the Philippine Center of Entrepreneurship, which aims to support the Philippine government’s immunization drive against COVID-19. It is a private sector donation of the AstraZeneca vaccine. Many people will benefit from this program since AstraZeneca’s zero-profit vaccine offers lower prices for countries who can’t afford expensive vaccines. Half of the vaccine will be donated to the government frontliners, and the other half will proceed to the private sectors’ frontliners.
Maccaferri Philippines is proud to be admitted as a sponsor and donated 1,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine. This program has already secured around six million doses for the country, which will help the vulnerable people and those who need it the most—a major step towards the recovery of our economy.
A ceremonial signing of the “A Dose of Hope, Wave 2” program was held last January 14, 2021, via Zoom and broadcasted live via Facebook, moderated by Go Negosyo. Maccaferri Philippines’ Country Manager, Mr Thomas Wintermahr, attended the event together with the private sector donors, local government unit executives, government representatives, distinguished guests, and the Philippine President, Rodrigo Duterte.
Maccaferri Philippines will continue to aid the fight against COVID-19 in every possible way until we overcome this Pandemic. We are in this together.
