Linking Van Ninh in Quang Binh Province to Cam Lo District in Quang Tri Province, this expressway enhances regional connectivity and supports economic growth across the eastern corridor.<\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<p><strong>The Challenge<\/strong><br>Constructing this route presented significant geotechnical challenges. The alignment traverses soft soils, high embankments, and multiple cut slopes requiring reliable stabilization. In addition, central Vietnam\u2019s intense rainfall and flood-prone conditions demand robust drainage and erosion control solutions.<\/p>\n\n<p>Several sections feature steep cut slopes where surface instability poses risks to long-term performance and uninterrupted traffic flow. Effective surface strengthening was essential to ensure safety, durability, and resilience against environmental conditions.<\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<p><strong>The Solution<\/strong><br>To address these challenges, a combined slope protection system using <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.maccaferri.com\/my\/products\/macarmour-steelgrid\/\">Steelgrid HR30<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.maccaferri.com\/my\/products\/macmat-hs\/\">MacMat HS<\/a>100<\/strong> was implemented along critical cut slope sections.<\/p>\n\n<p>This integrated solution delivers both:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Structural surface stabilization<\/strong>, and<\/li>\n\n<li><strong>Erosion control with ecological restoration<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n<p>The system combines a high-strength steel mesh (Steelgrid HR30) with a reinforced geomat (MacMat HS100), forming a flexible and durable facing solution. Typically used alongside soil nailing or anchoring systems:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The <strong>steel mesh provides mechanical reinforcement and surface restraint<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n<li>The <strong>geomat protects against erosion while promoting vegetation growth<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n<p>Together, they ensure long-term slope stability while
