Our gabions are being used as toe protection while our MacTex® geotextiles will help reduce differential settlement and ultimately increase the asphalt pavement service life
New roadworks have started near Kampung Belukar Durian, in the Kota Tinggi district, Johor, in the month of December 2017. A new 7 km long road stretch is being constructed with end of works estimated in the 3rd quarter of 2018. Our polymer coated and heavy galvanized gabions are being used as toe protections and a wide range of our MacTex® geotextiles are being installed as ground stabilization measures to reduce differential settlement. We are also providing on site supervision and assistance to ensure an effective installation.
Kampung Belukar Durian is a wonderful small township in the district of Kota Tinggi, Johor. It is a famous tourist destination for its so-called Homestay Wetlands.
The Kota Tinggi district is also the home for the Federal Land Development Authority (FELDA) which was formed back in 1956 with the vision to enhance the productivity of palm oil and rubber productions. The local authority has decided to construct a new 7 km long road stretch connecting its premises with Kampung Belukar Durian, aiming to create an alternative route between these two destinations and enhance the traffic flows.
Our gabions are being used to construct an embankment as toe protection. To withstand the aggressive environment and provide long term corrosion protection, we have supplied polymer coated and heavily galvanized gabion baskets.
Our MacTex® is being used for ground improvement purposes. The geotextiles will work as a separator to prevent the mixture of sands and soil and will help reduce differential settlement, thus increasing the expected service life of the asphalt pavement.
We are also providing on site supervision and assistance for an effective installation, thus ensuring the high level of service for which we are known worldwide.
