Additionally, an existing operational railway line had to be crossed each time blanket material was transported, making logistics time-consuming and inefficient. These constraints demanded a value-engineered solution that could ensure high performance and cost-effectiveness while reducing material usage and construction time.<\/p>\n\n<p>Maccaferri\u2019s geosynthetic solution was adopted using MacGrid\u00ae EG (biaxial polypropylene geogrid) and MacTex\u00ae N (nonwoven geotextile) to improve trackbed performance. This sustainable approach enabled a reduction in blanket thickness from 1 meter to 0.4 meters, significantly cutting down material usage and construction time.
