Maccaferri India among the keynote speakers at the national seminar organized by The Indian Geotechnical Society
The Indian Geotechnical Society, Baroda Chapter, in association with The Institute of Engineers organized a two-day seminar covering six technical sessions and eleven keynote lectures by eminent personalities from the academic as well as the industrial world.
The Indian Geotechnical Society (Baroda Chapter) organized a National Seminar on “Advanced Applications of Geosynthetics in Civil Engineering Practice”. The event was held at the Vasvik Auditorium, Institution of Engineers (I) , Vadodara Local Centre, on January 28th – 29th, 2017. Delegates from Gujarat Engineering Research Institute (GERI), Senior engineers and executives of SSNL, Water Resources Department, Irrigation and Power Projects, Kalpsar Department, Thermal Power Stations, Private & Government Organizations and Academic Institutions, participated in the event.
Experts from within the industry including from consulting organizations, academia, government and private organizations were invited to deliver keynote lectures on a number of topics including Geosynthetic reinforced soil structures, Forensic geotechnical engineering aspects, Engineered landfills, Reinforced soil walls, Seepage control and Soil stabilization.
Maccaferri presented a keynote lecture on “Slope Stabilization and Ground Improvement”, with a particular focus on Basal Reinforcement using our unique geogrid ParaLink, and presented some of our most notable case studies.
We also had an exhibition booth where our experts were available to talk about our range of geosynthetic solutions.
