The Challenge<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n

During the project, a severe rockfall hazard was identified along the Bts. Bandung\/Cianjur – Naringgul Cidaun Road<\/sup><\/sup>. The heavily weathered conditions of the surrounding rock slopes posed a direct threat to the lives of road users<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n

The project required a robust solution capable of mitigating this hazard. Engineers calculated that the chosen protection system needed to withstand massive impacts, specifically an estimated rockfall mass of 10 tons falling from a height of 30 meters, with a volume of 4 square meters.<\/p>\n\n

The Maccaferri Solution<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n

To meet these extreme safety requirements and safely dissipate the immense forces of falling rocks, Maccaferri Indonesia deployed its Dynamic Barriers<\/sup><\/sup><\/sup><\/sup>. Specifically, the RB 3000 rockfall barrier was selected and installed at the site<\/sup><\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n
