Maccaferri on the side of “Help The Planet, Help The Humans”

The artistic work made with wire mesh gabions is on display at FuoriSalone in Milan (8-14 April)

Maccaferri keeps pursuing its commitment to support the environment, and for the third year it stands alongside the artist Maria Cristina Finucci, author of the installation “Help the Planet, Help the Humans. The work – realized thanks to the wire mesh gabions and already exhibited last year at the Roman Forum and on the island of Mozia in Sicily in 2016 – will be hosted in the charming courtyard of the University of Milan during the week of the FuoriSalone, which will be inaugurated on Monday 8 April at 10.30 pm on the occasion of the lighting of the installation.

The giant inscription “HELP” is made of over two tons of colored plastic caps enclosed in red nets bags for food and contained in turn in 65 PoliMac gabions.  Four letters that, as a cry to humanity, launch an unequivocal message: to curb the environmental disaster that pollutes our seas every day.

Maccaferri – celebrating 140 years of activity this year – bases its growth on innovation, know-how and excellence in services while adopting eco-compatible solutions that promote the development of the surrounding flora or fauna. This sensitivity has further strengthened the company’s awareness of the dramatic problem caused by the dispersion of plastic debris in the oceans and for this reason, it has renewed its commitment with the awareness campaign promoted by Maria Cristina Finucci.
