The Windsor Essex Parkway was designed to improve the accessibility of the transportation link between Canada and the USA. The Parkway was developed with the goal of reducing the City of Windsor’s road congestion. Maccaferri’s Reinforced Granular Foundations mechanically stabilized earth walls were used to protect and support the pre-cast concrete girders allowing for an 11 tunnel structure to be constructed.
MacGrid WG Geogrids are used for soil reinforcement applications such as reinforced soil slopes and when soil consolidation and support is required. WG Geogrids are engineered to be mechanically and chemically durable, and resistant to biological degradation.
MacGrid WG Geogrids are made from high molecular weight, high tenacity polyester multifilament yarns. The yarns are woven together under tension in the machine direction and finished with a protective polymeric coating.
