Our environmentally friendly solutions and their applications for the mining industry will be showcased in Arequipa
PERUMIN 33 Mining Convention will take place at the National University of San Agustin, Arequipa, Peru from September 18th-22nd,2017. ‘Mining: Sustainability and Competitiveness’ is the central theme of the event, which will offer an extensive programme including seven academic and business meetings and an exhibition area (EXTEMIN) gathering nearly 1,000 national and international exhibitors and 15 international pavilions. The organizers are expecting more than 68,000 visitors. Our mining experts will be available at our booth to present our solutions for the mining industry and explain our approach to sustainable mining.
The 33rd edition of the biennial mining convention PERUMIN, seeks to achieve three main objectives:
- Presenting a platform to align corporations, communities, civil society and government within one common vision;
- Proposing new technologies and innovative services;
- Reinforcing the message that mining can foster development, since it has an integrating power that engages other productive and service activities.
PERUMIN is organized by the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP), one of the most important mining institutes, representing initiatives of collaboration among public and private organizations to promote sustainable mining in Peru. During the event, the organizers will present four economic studies on the challenges of the mining sector, which accounts for 14% of Peru’s GDP and 60% of its exports.
Backed by years of global experience, we are well-placed to offer solutions to the challenges encountered during mine operations. This is why we are attending PERUMIN to present our geotechnical, geological and hydraulic solutions for the mining industry, which are designed and developed with an eye on preserving the environment and a special commitment towards sustainable mining.
Our mining experts will welcome visitors at our booth and will be glad to discuss our products and their applications within the mining industry. Among our case histories in Peru, we will present our project to protect a conveyor belt from rockfall events with a protection embankment with over 10,000kJ absorption capacity.
