Our MacTex geotextile was used to improve the soil where new mixed residential, office, commercial facilities will be built
Our MacTex non-woven geotextile has been recently installed at a new development site near Gelang Patah, a small town in the Johor Bahru District, Johor, Malaysia. The MacTex will provide a filtration and separation function to prepare the ground before the development takes place.
UEM Sunrise SDN BHD has launched a new mixed development project in Gelang Patah, a small town located in the middle of the Johor Bahru District, Johor. A ground improvement intervention was required to stabilize the extremely soft soil at the site.
For this project, we supplied multiple rolls of our MacTex, a high quality non-woven geotextile manufactured from virgin high tenacity polypropylene fibers assembled by a needle punched treatment. It is not only used for soil stabilization but also within slope support and erosion control applications. MacTex non-woven geotextiles separates the good quality construction materials from the poor quality soils beneath, preventing them from being contaminated and weakened.
Non-woven geotextiles are also commonly used in ditches, around pipes, underneath drains, or in other areas dealing with high levels of subsurface drainage as well as site runoff.
The project will be completed in 24 months, including development of the residential, office and commercial facilities.
