The facility is based in Slovakia and is the biggest manufacturing plant in Europe.
Maccaferri is celebrating the inauguration of its new factory in Senica, Slovakia. The first column was placed on June 15, 2015, with construction completion on December 15, 2016. Trial production started at the end of January 2016.
The state-of-the-art factory and its facilities have a total area of 28,000 square meters.
Currently, over 150 people are employed in the manufacturing company while 14 are employed in the sister company in Bratislava and Zilina.
The plant is Maccaferri’s largest of its kind in Europe and will become the main manufacturing plant for Central and Western Europe.
The inauguration will take place on June 23, with the participation of the President of the parent company, Alessandro Maccaferri, the Vice President, Luigi Penzo, and the President of the Holding company – SECI S.p.A. – Gaetano Maccaferri. Several members of the Maccaferri family will also attend the event. Branislav Grimm, Mayor of the City of Senica, and Vladimir Kocourek, Chief of the District of Senica, will be present as well.

The plant will be crucial for the development of synergies and economies of scale in order to enable further expansion of the Maccaferri business in Western and Central Europe“, said Alessandro Maccaferri.
